LSR Division 8 - Texas Gulf Division

Texas Gulf Division

The Lone Star Region’s Division 8, also known as the Texas Gulf Division, encompasses 26 counties in southeast Texas and along the upper Texas coast.

The stated purposes of the division are to promote the hobby and fellowship of model railroading, and to further the educational objectives set forth in the constitutions of the NMRA and the Lone Star Region.

Model railroad clubs affiliated with Division 8 are among the Lone Star Region’s most active in promoting the hobby through public shows and displays, including the annual Greater Houston Train Show.

The division holds quarterly meetings, and will be hosting the 2008 Lone Star Region convention in Houston. Meeting and other division information appears in The Waybill, Division 8’s quarterly newsletter. The Waybill is available at no charge via email to all Division 8 members, or by first class mail for a nominal charge.
